South Central Louisiana Technical College provides critical curriculum and certification programs for some of Louisiana’s longtime economic drivers, including manufacturing, oil and gas, and marine operations that support the offshore industry. The college has seen such a sharp increase in demand for programs, that it can longer accommodate the number of students seeking enrollment. Act 360 proposes to solve South Central Louisiana Technical College ’s capacity problem with three important expansion projects.

The new Center for the Advancement of Technical Education, planned for the Reserve campus, will be a multi-purpose building that will feature adult education, workforce development services, a testing center, general education courses, administrative and faculty offices, a placement center and other critical functions that help more men and women in the area find training that fits their skills and interests and leads to financially stable work.
