The planned Workforce Training Center on Hooper Road brings a much-needed higher education hub to the northern part of East Baton Rouge Parish. The renovated facilitity features academic and adaptable professional programs, as well as key components that capture new students and keep them on track, including academic transfer, workforce training, dual enrollment with nearby Central Community Schools and remedial and literacy programs. The facility houses classrooms, labs, shops and a student food service area.
 

Existing building drainage issues, additional restrooms, and electrical upgrades to service all of the P-tech equipment are also being addressed.
